Disability Insurance for Governmental Employees

Jamie Articles Leave a Comment

For people who work for governmental institutions, getting disability insurance can be tough. Some companies do not offer any individual coverage. Some companies limit benefits to $2000 or $2500/month.

Recently, companies have become more lenient when it comes to offering individual disability insurance to federal and state employees. Instead of limiting the benefit amount, they will calculate eligibility based on income and assuming 40% group benefits in force.
