The best time for CRNAs to purchase an individual disability insurance policy is as early as possible. The younger you are and the healthier you are, the better.

A lot of CRNAs choose to purchase their individual disability insurance policy through their CRNA association. These rates are not guaranteed and increase substantially when you reach age 50. As a result, a lot of CRNAs shop around for coverage at that time. If they are still healthy, they are in good shape. If not, they may be stuck paying the higher rates.
